Project Overview
Legacy brokers provide very poor pre/post trade features, so their customers come to Guru to
follow the markets and monitor/control their portfolio. We built everything from scratch.
My Contributions
As Head of design, i've applied user-centered design principles and working closely with stakeholders to conceive, design beautiful, useable and engaging products; leading project management and leading the design team. Mentoring, conducting workshops related to user experience discipline. I've applied user research and ideation sessions with a multi-disciplinary team utilising the iteration and development process.
The Process
Benchmarking:
Initially, I meticulously benchmarked global fintech apps such as Robinhood, Revolut, Monzo, and others, to understand their design approaches, functionality, and how they catered to users' needs. This step was crucial for setting a high standard for my work.
Localization Research
Understanding the local Brazilian market was paramount. I immersed myself in studies that helped me grasp the financial behaviors, needs, and preferences unique to Brazilian users, which would later influence my design decisions.
